WORSHIP THOUGHTS

17/06/06 - "This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it."

For all of us we can only live life one day at at time. I want to encourage us to have a recognition that God has given us each day; and all of them are packed full of opportunities. Opportunites to be a blessing to others, to act like God wants us to act; or to do the opposite of that! It really is up to us. You see God has done his part, and now it is up to us to do ours. The verse says, ".......I will rejoice and be glad in it." It is entirely up to us how we approach each day that God gives.

Today is a brand new day for the School of Worship students 2006. Last night we had our Grdauation and all of them are beginning lfe after College! They may be very glad that it's over, but today the dawn brings fresh opportunites for them to begin to put into practice what they have learnt over the past nine months. For each of them there are new challenges and the pressures will be different. However, the fact remains that God has given each of them a new day and they have a decision to make how they approach it.

Ruth and I will miss the students. Our interaction with them and love for them will not diminish however and we will keep in touch with them to continue our encouragement. Over the year this lesson that I am sharing this morning whas been a recurring theme and as they go with sadness or joy, life begins agin today for them!

I pray that all of you who read this today, will be encourged to pick up the baton and conduct a day filled with honour and glory to God. After all he gave us the day to enjoy.

David
