Trained and Skilled, is a ministry founded and administered by David Hadden alongside his wife Ruth. For over twenty years they have Trained and Skilled scores of worship leaders in churches worldwide and affected the lives of thousands along the way. Although we are located in Leicester, England UK, this does not affect our ministry to the nations. We travel extensively during the year conducting multiple seminars, conferences and training sessions throughout the world. We are servants called by God to teach and train fellow worshippers of the Lord.

Worship Training and Equipping-Trained & Skilled, we'll take you back through history and look at some of the most prominent men and women that have made their mark as worshipers. You'll learn the fundamentals of worship and enhance your skill as a musician, singer and songwriter.

Singing is a gift God has given us to communicate our heart of love and passion for Him, and prophetically, His towards us. Our goal for musical instruction is to glorify the Lord, not with a view to be a performing artist, but rather to be a worshiper who can serve others as they, too, worship Jesus.

Skill Enhancement and Fundamentals of Worship-For over twenty years Trained and Skilled has played a key role in the discipleship and development of many worshipers, musicians and singers. Trained and Skilled offers resources that will assist anyone who wishes to increase their development as a worship leader, musician, singer or songwriter. Through the vast experience of the School of Worship teachers and guest speakers you will find the necessary training and equipping that you are seeking.

Note on Worship-In 1 Chronicles 25 v. 7 we read that all of them (the singers and musicians in the house of the Lord) were trained and skilled. As we read on we see that there were young and old involved, as well as teachers and students. Surely that leads to such a mixture of expertise?

The idea and concept for Trained and Skilled came form that verse in 1 Chronicles 25 where it talks about all of them being trained and skilled in music for the Lord. This was referring to the singers and musicians that were serving in the Tabernacle of David. Among them were those who were young and those who were older, those who were teachers and those who were students. It is imperative for worship teams never to get stuck with the same personnell year after year. We have to be responsible to see another generation coming up behind those of us who have for many years served in the worship team. We cannot hold onto "our position" for fear of losing it when there are those I believe out there who are just waiting in the wings.

It is time to go and get those people and train them to step into our positions of service. Begin by seeing those who are having some kind of musical training and encourage them. Being good stewards to take an interest in them and let them know that they can become a part of the extended team. Those who attend the worship team rehearsal, but as yet have not played on a Sunday.

Allow them to integrate and have the existing team members get to know them and encourage them. This will be the first step towards many more people being trained and skilled in music for the Lord. Notice the verse says, "....in music for the Lord." All of our playing and singing is for him and not for us! Infact all that we have been gifted with is for God, then others and not for ourselves.
